Article II – Membership
Section 1
Classes of Membership
There shall be three classes of membership in the Academy; professional, student and affiliate. The Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin or sexual orientation in granting or terminating membership or in regard to any of the benefits of membership.
Professional membership is defined as a licensed healthcare provider.
Student membership is defined as an unlicensed individual enrolled in a health science education institution.
Affiliate membership is a member who does not meet the definitions of Professional or Student membership, and whose qualifications may change from time to time.
Section 2
Member Qualifications
Membership in the Academy is a privilege, not a right, and is contingent upon
continuing compliance with these bylaws. Members are expected to be of good moral character and to adhere to the Code of Ethics as set forth in these bylaws. Failure to comply with these requirements may serve as a basis for denial or revocation of Academy membership.
Section 3
Resignation
Any member in good standing may submit a written resignation request to the Membership Committee.
Education
Multiple pathways through CCE accredited institutions for advanced scope of practice.
Legislation
Modeling of legislative initiatives for expansion of chiropractic licensure.
Participation
Intra and interprofessional collaborative efforts yielding extraordinary results.
